True compassion is not just feeling another's pain, but acting to ease it.

Kol Bonaich opens up pathways for disadvantaged young people with additional needs, and mental health issues.

Rabbi Osher Schapiro

Founder and Director

Rabbi Osher Schapiro saw the gap where a warm organisation was needed for teens at risk and, in 1999, Kol Bonaich was born and has been a haven for underpriveleged teens ever since. The proud father and grandfather of many, Rabbi Osher Schapiro considers the dear Kol Bonaich members as part of his family. Their joy is his joy, their pride is his pride and he celebrates each of their accomplishments.

Every child is an uncut diamond, waiting to shine with the right care and guidance.

— Rabbi Osher Schapiro
